Founded in 1883 and listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, Lakeside Inn is the oldest continuously operated hotel in the State of Florida.  Conveniently located in the heart of the historic district of the quaint lake front community of Mount Dora,  the Inn features 87 comfortably appointed guest rooms and suites.  For dining, the elegant  Beauclaire Room is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, or for something a bit more casual, the Veranda offers an outdoor setting with picturesque lake views.  Tremain's Tavern, located just off the main lobby, is the perfect spot to enjoy a refreshing cocktail or glass of wine.  The Gatehouse Gift Boutique features the work of many of Central Florida's leading artists, crafters and authors, along with a selection of Lakeside Inn keepsakes.       
For recreation and other activities, the Inn features a large, lake-fronting swimming pool and a collection of attractive gardens and quiet spots for relaxation and simple enjoyment.  For something more active, a daily schedule of boat tours leaving from one of our docks is available, featuring both ecological and sunset tours.  Horse drawn carriage rides of the historic district start just outside of the entry to the property. The Mount Dora Visitor's Center is also located just outside of our grounds in the old train station.  Golf is available at several nearby courses.  Trolley tours and Segway tours of the area are also available.
