A relatively new state park with a one-half mile trail now accessible to the public. The park consists of salt marsh, pine uplands and freshwater swamps. Future plans include canoe and kayak launch, picnic area, nature trails and primitive tent-style camping. As the 4,000-acre park develops there will be 20 miles of canoe and kayak trails along with 20 miles of hiking trails through near pristine original natural Florida.
