Other permanent museum exhibits include "Florida Fossils: Evolution of Life and Land," where guests walk through the last 65 million years of Florida history; "South Florida People and Environments," which tells the story of native people in South Florida and their environments; "Northwest Florida: Waterways & Wildlife," featuring a full-size replica of a limestone cave from Florida Caverns State Park; "Collections are the Library of Life," allowing visitors to see the skull of Albert, one of the University of Florida's first live mascots, as well as open drawers to explore items from the museum's internationally acclaimed collections; and "Explore Research," featuring an interactive Smart Board and videos highlighting various University of Florida research initiatives.
