With a special moment of silence at 8:46 am, the time when the first plane struck the World Trade Center. The program for this solemn ten year remembrance will include: brief remarks by several speakers, presentation of the colors, participation by members of the Coast Guard, the Ponce Inlet Fire and Police departments, and lowering of the flag to half staff. From 8:30 to 9:30, the lighthouse grounds will be open at no charge and the tower will be open for climbing.
