The Island Grand is the TradeWinds’ classic Florida beach resort, located on 20 acres of sugar-white sand overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The flagship resort in TradeWinds Island Resorts, the Island Grand offers 585 guest rooms and is dedicated to the entire family. In addition to 5 pools, whirlpools, and the tranquil waters of the Gulf, both parents and kids alike will find plenty to do. The nightly Resort Amenity fee affords guests complimentary use of a list of on-site activities as long as a mid-summer sunset, including beach cabanas, tennis, fitness center, paddleboats, daily parking, free local phone calls, daily newspaper and use of the business center.

You’ll also enjoy on-site water sports such as parasailing and waverunner rentals. Relax at the Body Works Salon and Spa while the kids are enjoying the KONK (Kids Only, No Kidding) Club, which offers supervised programs for children ages 4-11, with additional activities for teens as well as the entire family. Take a sunset cruise or dolphin watch cruise, enjoy exclusive private golf club privileges just minutes away, or head to a hammock and laze away the afternoon.

For your dining and entertainment pleasure, the Island Grand offers 10 dining and entertainment venues, featuring a medley of Gulf coast cuisine, tall tropical coolers, seafood specialties, breakfast buffet, poolside lunches, and sunset dinners. The resort is home to Palm Court Italian Grill; Bermudas Steak & Seafood Restaurant; Salty’s, a popular pool and beachfront bar; Beef ‘O’ Brady’s; Pizza Hut; a deli; gourmet coffee bar; and even an ice cream shoppe.

The Island Grand was Florida’s second property to receive the Green Lodging Program’s Two Palm designation from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, which recognizes increased energy conservation and pollution prevention measures since the properties’ One Palm designation.

For local culture, TradeWinds is just minutes away from downtown St. Petersburg where you’ll find museums, shopping and dining. From nonstop excitement, romance and relaxation to limitless recreation, a vacation here will be your best ever because we know exactly what you need to "Just let go."

The Island Grand is located 30 minutes from both St. Pete/Clearwater and Tampa International Airports, and offers a wide variety of packages and seasonal specials.
