Established for over 25 years, Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLiFF) has been named one of the top ten destination film festivals in the nation. Celebrities and filmmakers create an aura of excitement as they attend screenings and parties during the annual event which takes place in late October - Mid November. FLiFF premieres over 175 independent and foreign language films including features, shorts and documentaries over the month-long festival.
FLiFF also programs and operates Fort Lauderdale's year-round art-house theater, Cinema Paradiso. Conveniently located in the downtown area on the south bank of the New River and within walking distance of Las Olas Blvd, Cinema Paradiso presents much more than top new indie and foreign language films daily; there are mini festivals, celebrity events, live shows, arts, music, live football games and childrens' events. Combining old world charm with plush comfortable stadium style seating and state-of-art projection and sound, the 220 seat charmer also offers a beautiful outdoor courtyard perfect for parties and gatherings before and after movies. Cinema Paradiso also has a full bar and concessions.
FLiFF provides outreach film programs thoughout Florida from Key West to Amelia Island.
