Town of White Springs is located on the banks of the Historic Suwannee River. Located in the heart of White Springs are the Florida Nature and Heritage Tourism Center, headquarters for the Suwannee River Wilderness Trail and Stephen Foster State Folk Cultural Center home of the annual "Florida Folk Festival." The Florida Folk Festival is the oldest, continuously run Folk Festival in America and they celebrated their 59th year in 2011. Every first Sat. of the month Stephen Foster Park host the Coffee House, an open mike where local as well as professional musicians perform and the Citizen Support Organization provides refreshments. You must taste Mrs. Mary Lou Bullards corn dip and famous bananna pudding. The Third Sat. in March also brings the annual Wild Azalea Festival a one day event with local food, arts & crafts, musical performances, wagon rides into the Park and the Little Miss Azalea Contest. Also located in town are the Headquarters of the Suwannee Bicycle Association, the American Canoe Adventures and the Historic Telford Hotel and Restaurant. Amenities include the White Springs Bed and Breakfast located on U.S. 41 in the Historic Kendrick-Lindsey House, the Hisoric Telford Hotel B&B and the new Cabins located of the banks of the Suwannee in Stephen Foster Park. Eateries include the Historic Telford Hotel, and Fat Bellies a unique dining experience. If you wish to plan a special dinning experience try local Chef Teddy Bear who prepares foods like grilled cabbage, Teddy Bears bar-b-que which could be any meat from bear, goat, racoon, beef and prok ribs, chicken just to name a few.  Teddy Bear also provides his own entertainment as he prepares your food.  Contact Town Hall at 386-387-2310.
