9/8-9/10/11 The park is old-fashioned with wi-fi, cable and a cafe. Public areas are clean and tidy. They have potluck suppers and bluegrass music during the winter season in the clubhouse. We got to pick our own site in the shade on the water with a dock. It was a perfect spot to sip a cocktail and watch the roseate spoonbills feed while watching the beautiful sunsets. The owners and employees are full of southern hospitality and charm and are very accommodating. We inadvertently left our bikes when we packed up. We got a call from Bruce, one of the owners, who offered to secure them for a future pick-up. We turned around to get them and they had our lunch ready for us to take out for our long ride home. There's no weight room or pool but if you're looking for those, I'm sure there's a resort down the road. If you're looking for a comfortable spot to decompress and enjoy nature, don't miss Sunset Isles. We'll be back.
