Dudley Farm Historic State Park

Visitors to Dudley Farm Historic State Park will step back in time as they experience an original Florida pioneer living history farm established in the 1890s. Park staff in authentic farm clothing perform daily farm chores and encourage visitors to participate and 18 buildings still exist and include the Dudley family farmhouse and kitchen, the sugar cane mill and syrup house, the general store and post office. Pecan trees, fruit trees, vegetable and flower gardens, crop fields and woodlands comprise this 325-acre farm. The picnic areas and walking trails are available from the Visitor Center where a 12-minute video can be viewed. In 1983 Myrtle Dudley donated 25 acres of the farmstead to the Florida Park Service. By 2001 much of the building and landscape restoration had taken place, resulting in this National Register property opening to the public. Read Less
