A 1,600-acre paradise made up of four barrier islands: Lovers Key, Inner Key, Long Key and Black Island. Lovers Key is renowned for its pristine white beach and wildlife viewing opportunities. The park features five miles of hiking and biking trails through a shady maritime hammock ecosystem. Visitors can see manatee, gopher tortoises and wading birds along the trails. The trails are hard-packed shell-path material and cover semi-rough terrain. Wide tires recommended. Well-behaved pets on a leash are welcome at the park but they are not permitted to go on the beach.  Read Less
