I'm a freelance writer and videographer, and spend most of my days exploring Florida's natural wonders from a kayak, a bike or rambling down a hiking trail. A Florida native living in Citrus County, you'll often find me watching the boats go by on the Homosassa River. I'm always sharing stories, photos and videos, so follow along and together we'll discover Florida's natural treasures.
Come one, come all to the last open house for 2012 at Three Sisters Springs! Event is this Sat, Feb.11: http://t.co/CYi515em

Anastasia State Park has so much to offer -- a beautiful beach, close proximity to a historic city, wonderful campsites, and an unparalleled natural beauty that keeps people coming back year after year. Surfing, fishing, bicycling and kayaking are just a few of the popular activities that you'll see both individuals and families enjoying.
This past weekend I was accompanied by the VISIT FLORIDA film crew, who came to work their magic in transforming me from an outdoors blogger to a movie star! Watch my page for the video to be posted in the next few weeks.
Never been to Anastasia State Park? It's one of the most popular state parks, located south of St. Augustine. It's a great place to spend the day at the beach, have a family picnic or lounge around one of more than 120 private campsites.
During your visit, make sure to check out the Quarry Historical Site at the park's entrance. The coquina rock that came out of this quarry was used to construct the Castillo de San Marcos fort in Saint Augustine.Â
This wasn't my first visit to Anastasia State Park, and it surely won't be my last. I've been to Anastasia twice this year! It's one of those places that you truly can't visit enough.Â
