I'm a freelance writer and videographer, and spend most of my days exploring Florida's natural wonders from a kayak, a bike or rambling down a hiking trail. A Florida native living in Citrus County, you'll often find me watching the boats go by on the Homosassa River. I'm always sharing stories, photos and videos, so follow along and together we'll discover Florida's natural treasures.
It's #Florida #Hiking Month, so go take a hike already! Here are some #trails to get you going: http://t.co/JzwJHWhH

I am finally in the holiday spirit, thanks to a visit to Fort Cooper's Night of Lights event! The place really takes on a whole new feeling at night, and more than 600 people were there on Friday evening to see the lights. This is an amazing family event that you should check out. The event will be going on until Dec. 17, so you have time to load up the kids and head out to Fort Cooper! I've got some video to share, and believe me, it doesn't do it justice. There are some things you really have to see in person to get the full effect, and this is one of them. Go to Fort Cooper State Park for the Night of Lights event. You'll love it!
