I'm a freelance writer and videographer, and spend most of my days exploring Florida's natural wonders from a kayak, a bike or rambling down a hiking trail. A Florida native living in Citrus County, you'll often find me watching the boats go by on the Homosassa River. I'm always sharing stories, photos and videos, so follow along and together we'll discover Florida's natural treasures.

Listen up, my friends. If you want to see the real Florida, then the boat tour at Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park is where you need to be.
My video camera pretty much rolled nonstop during the 45-minute tour, and I have to pat myself on the back for remaining calm and staying in my seat. There were a few times when I really could have gotten carried away, but I'm not one to make a scene. The combination of natural Florida beauty, wildlife and ranger Don Gavin's storytelling made the tour special for so many folks that day.
If you are in the Tallahassee area, make sure to stop by Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park. Heck, this is a great road trip destination, too! Also, a stay at the circa 1937 Wakulla Springs Lodge is really special, so fellas, pack a bag and surprise the lady in your life with a weekend getaway. Just make sure to reserve ahead of time. Okay, I'll stop there before VISIT FLORIDA switches me over to "romance tips with Kevin."
Hope you enjoy the video!
