I'm a freelance writer and videographer, and spend most of my days exploring Florida's natural wonders from a kayak, a bike or rambling down a hiking trail. A Florida native living in Citrus County, you'll often find me watching the boats go by on the Homosassa River. I'm always sharing stories, photos and videos, so follow along and together we'll discover Florida's natural treasures.

The Naples Botanical Garden is celebrating its grand reopening this Sat., Nov. 14. The garden has been closed for about a year and a half, and has increased in size from a one-acre tract to a whopping 70 acres! That's a lot of garden, folks.
The property is divided into distinct garden types with incredible designs -- the Caribbean, Asian, and Brazilian Gardens all include plants and cultural flavor of those regions. There's also a Florida Garden with native species and a interactive and educational Children's Garden as well.
Head on out to the Naples Botanical Gardens and join in the celebration! For more information, visit www.naplesgarden.org or call 239-643-7275.
