I'm a freelance writer and videographer, and spend most of my days exploring Florida's natural wonders from a kayak, a bike or rambling down a hiking trail. A Florida native living in Citrus County, you'll often find me watching the boats go by on the Homosassa River. I'm always sharing stories, photos and videos, so follow along and together we'll discover Florida's natural treasures.

That's right, folks! This Sunday, July 19, round up your family and head to one of Florida's 160 State Parks -- there's no entrance fee!
The hard part here is deciding what park to visit -- do you plan for a beach outing, or a trip to a cool freshwater spring? Or perhaps a hike or mountain bike ride? What about a paddling trip? There are so many ways to discover the natural beauty of Florida, it's really tough sometimes to decide just where to go and what activity to partake in. Make sure to visit www.floridastateparks.org for information and ideas.
Whatever park you decide to visit, make sure to plan ahead and get there early, as I'm sure lots of people will be taking advantage of this deal. Pack a lunch, bring a camera and have a great day at one of Florida's State Parks!
