I'm a freelance writer and videographer, and spend most of my days exploring Florida's natural wonders from a kayak, a bike or rambling down a hiking trail. A Florida native living in Citrus County, you'll often find me watching the boats go by on the Homosassa River. I'm always sharing stories, photos and videos, so follow along and together we'll discover Florida's natural treasures.

Good news! Governor Charlie Crist has signed a proclamation that recognizes the month of July as Park and Recreation Month, so of course Florida has planned plenty of events statewide for you to enjoy!
You know you'll get my attention when the words "park" and "recreation" are used in the same sentence. I'm always on the lookout for a good excuse to get outside and play around (whoops, I meant work), so this gives me a reason to plan out some trips.
There are so many events going on that I'll never be able to list them all here - but being the super nice guy that I am, I'll provide you with the links so that you can get right to finding a location near you. Have fun celebrating Park and Recreation Month!
