Everybody's looking for Labor Day weekend golf specials. I hereby suggest you take a look at PGA National.

The resort has a good deal going on: They're calling it the Labor Day Weekend Golf-A-Thon and it includes 99 total holes played, including the famed Champion Course (27 holes, Sunday), the Palmer (18, Friday and Monday) and 18 holes each on the Haig and Squire courses (Saturday). Shotguns starts every day.

You can choose from two packages, both of which include a Saturday night, poolside barbecue:

• An all-inclusive, three-night stay with three days of golf and daily breakfast will set you back $630 per person.
• Three days of golf with daily breakfast and no accommodations costs $180 per person. The same package costs $140 for PGA National members.

Other weekend activities include a dinner at the Ironwood Grille Friday, a poolside concert featuring a band called "Street Talk" on Friday, a Corvette Club car exhibit and two additional poolside barbecues you can pay for.

A portion of all weekend proceeds would be donated to Patriot Golf Day, a fundraiser for the Folds of Honor Foundation that provides postsecondary education for the children and spouses of military men and women disabled or killed while serving.

PGA National Resort and Spa is home to the PGA Tour's Honda Classic, played on the Champion course. It also hosted the 1983 Ryder Cup, 1987 PGA Championship, and nearly two decades of the Senior PGA Championship.

For non-golfers, there is the 40,000-square-foot European Spa, featuring the "Waters of the World" outdoor mineral pools, a 33,000 square-foot health-and-racquet club with 19 tennis courts and nine on-site restaurants and lounges.
