Holy moly! I have so many upcoming holiday events to tell you about. Let’s start with the Daytona Beach area. Mark your calendars and plan to have some fantastic family fun in the sun and under the stars along Florida’s east coast:
Â
Rockefeller Christmas
Dec. 4 – 6
Christmas in Rockefeller Gardens is so nice! Wander through and enjoy tree lightings, food vendors, arts & crafts, Santa Claus, wagon and carriage rides, and entertainment, too. For more info call 386-676-3216. Admission is FREE.
Movies Under the Stars
Dec. 4, 6:30 p.m. Home Alone, 8:15 p.m. Elf
December 11, 6:30 p.m. White Christmas
All the fun happens at the Kenneth W. Parker Amphitheater at City Center in Port Orange. But it’s more than just movies, there’ll be popcorn, games and door prizes. For more information, call 386-506-5936. Admission is FREE.
Daytona Beach Boat Parade
Dec. 5, 6:30 p.m.
There are many spots around the area for great viewing of this annual event, but here’s a great one -- non-members of the Halifax River Yacht Club are invited to view the parade and enjoy a $10 hot dog and hamburger buffet from 6 - 9 p.m. Call 386-255-7459 for reservations.Â
Nutcracker Ballet
Dec, 5, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Peabody Auditorium in Daytona Beach
I love this! It’s the Tchaikovsky favorite of all favorites and will feature spectacular sets, lavish costumes and nearly 70 Volusia County children dancing the ballet. Sweet! Call 386-671-3462 for tickets.
Mannheim Steamroller
Dec. 11, 4:30Â p.m.
Peabody Auditorium in Daytona Beach
I have three Mannheim Steamroller CDs, and we love their acoustic sounds. You will, too. Their 7:30 performance is already sold out, so get your tickets now!
