As the holidays are right around the corner, it's time to start shopping! And if you're like me (always looking for something different AND affordable) then you should try visiting a local holiday gift sale. You never know what you'll find as people are just so creative, and the prices are generally really good!
Here is one such local show to tell you about in Punta Gorda and they say, "It's the granddaddy of all local holiday gift sales." That sounds like a winner to me.

It will be held this Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at the Punta Gorda Visual Arts Center. Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and admission is free. You'll find a bevy of talented local artists featuring their crafts such as original pottery, photography, woodwork, jewelry, stained glass, knitwear, paintings, greeting cards and holiday decorations. Free light refreshments will be served, and there will also be prize drawings.
