Send Summer Out with a Roar at Jazoo's Birthday and Back-to-School Bash

No one wants to say goodbye to summer, but the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens invites kids and families to say so long in a very big way at Jazoo’s Birthday and Back to School Bash.
In case you're not sure who Jazoo is, he's the Zoo's lovable, huggable lion mascot! Jazoo is turning 4 this year so be prepared to sing "Happy Birthday!" You can also sign up for a library card while you're here and get a sample from the Oscar Mayer’s Lunchable Tour.
The celebration takes place this weekend, Sat., Aug 22 and Sun., Aug 23, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Zoo’s Play Park.

Don't be late or you'll miss the cupcakes! Mini cupcakes will be provided along with birthday games, music, prize drawings for a new backpack and school supplies, party favors and animal encounters, too.

Special guests for Jazoo's birthday bash include Jacksonville Jaguars' Jaxson de Ville; Jacksonville Suns’ Southpaw; and other mascots from the Jacksonville area. Radio Disney will be joining in on the birthday celebration on Saturday and a jammin’ DJ will play music on Sunday.

To get $2 off regular admission, bring in one or more new or gently used children’s books for donation to the Jacksonville Public Library.Â
