If you’ve never been to Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden, you are missing out – this is one of the world's preeminent botanic gardens! Amazingly, this place opened back in 1938, and to me, their 83-acres of vivid greens and bursts of colors are like therapy for my soul. I bet you will feel the same. Walk through their extensive collection of rare tropical plants including palms, cycads, flowering trees, tropical fruit trees, vines and succulents, and your blood pressure is bound to drop!

Wondering what there is to do here besides ogle the sheer beauty? Have a family picnic, sit on a bench and read your favorite book, let the kids play on the grass, or hop on the tram for a narrated tour that includes the history of Fairchild and more.Â
