This Saturday, Aug. 8, head over to the
Imaginarium Hands-On Museum & Aquarium in
Fort Myers for the Grand Opening celebration of
Heroes in Action!
It’s not only the grand opening at the Imaginarium; it’s the national tour debut of this special exhibition. You’ll find 12-inch GI JOE® action figures posed in all kinds of realistic scenes, and each one has its own exciting interactive, too.
We all remember (and most of us even had) GI JOEs, so this should be a super-fun trip down memory lane! What’s more,
Heroes in Action! was designed as a tribute to honor our nation's uniformed emergency personnel like police, firefighters, EMTs and rescue workers.
This sounds like a great opportunity to show your children the importance of these real-life roles with the help of fun displays, interactive exhibits and more. Don’t worry about keeping your kids entertained, as there is a children’s play area, a limited-edition collectible display and the chance to try on authentic firefighter uniforms.
You'll even have a chance to win tickets to see the new GI JOE® movie. (That's because the exhibit happens to coincide with the 45
th birthday of GI JOE® and its new movie, coming out in August.) As part of the exhibit premiere, the
Imaginarium will have a drawing for tickets. Just fill out an entry form to win! Live drawings will be held at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. (you do have to be present to win).
Heroes in Action! is sure to thrill anyone who’s ever collected, played with or appreciated this iconic action figure – and the roles of our uniformed emergency personnel. This exhibit runs through November. Don't miss it!
