Fishermen's Village to Host First Annual “Pirate's Day” Festival on Sept. 12

It’s a first! Fishermen’s Village in Punta Gorda is going to host its first annual “Pirate's Day” Festival Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009.
All the fun begins at 11 a.m. and will continue throughout the day. Here’s some of what you can expect:
- "The Calendar Girls" Dance Group
- Village-wide treasure hunt
- Costume contests for children and adults
- Book signing and storytelling at Hooked on Books with James and Sarah Kaserman
- “Madame Go Go” Stilt Walker/Fire Dancer
- Live music
- Tours aboard the Royal Order of Ponce De Leon Conquistador ship
- Air-brush tattooing
