If you’re dreaming of spending time along some absolutely beautiful shores this summer, then you should check out
Pensacola and Florida’s
Emerald Coast in Northwest Florida. I’ve taken the liberty to pull together some free (or almost-free) activities and money-saving deals for you to peruse. If you’ve never been to Northwest Florida, then you have to go. It’s way up there on the WOW factor!

Emerald Coast (Destin, Fort Walton Beach & Okalossa Island)
There are so many fun and free things to do along the Emerald Coast for families. Some of my faves are spending time on gorgeous beaches building sandcastles, bodysurfing waves, looking for shells, sunbathing and, of course, watching the fiery sunrises and sunsets.
For under $10, families can visit the U.S. Air Force Armament Museum, Indian Temple Mounds, Destin History & Fishing Museum, Emerald Coast Science Center and go fishing off the Okaloosa Pier. For under $20, you can enjoy Florida’s Gulfarium. Another little-known deal is at Big Kahuna’s water park, where you can save $10 off ticket prices with their twilight pricing, and buying tickets online saves an additional $2 per ticket!
