Night At The Museum - At The AutoNation IMAX in Fort Lauderdale!

If your kids are like mine, they can’t wait for Memorial Day Weekend and the new movie, Night At The Museum. For a bigger, better experience, treat your kids to NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: BATTLE OF THE SMITHSONIAN: The IMAX® Experience! This event opens May 22, 2009 at the AutoNation® IMAX® Theater at the Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale.

If this movie is even half as entertaining as the first one, it will be great! To add to the fun, the Museum of Discovery and Science has several other great family activities going on opening weekend. Here’s the schedule:

Aviation Demonstration                                                1:30 p.m. & 3:30 p.m.
Your kids can learn about the science behind flight and about famous aviators

Museum Behind-the-Scenes Tours                               12:30 p.m. & 2:30 p.m.
Take a guided behind-the-scenes tour of the museum and see how they bring science to life.

Kite Science (Make It and Take It!)                            1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Your kids can make their own kite using the same scientific principles as the Wright Brothers.

Who was Albert Einstein?                                            1:30 p.m. & 3:30 p.m.
Join the Museum’s resident physical scientist, Hiram Bleecker, as he unwraps the life and accomplishments of Albert Einstein.
