Hang gliding is my passion, and in 2006, I helped the U.S. Women's Hang Gliding Team win silver in the World Championships. An author, ultimate adventure lover, beach bunny and sand snob, I've visited almost every beach in Florida and can't wait to explore more. Join me as I flip-flop across the Sunshine State, sharing the softest sand, sweetest shores and a boatload of adventure.
Today's Key West event guaranteed to float ur flip-flops- but not ur boat! #Florida @thefloridakeys http://t.co/UbWjcM0n

I don’t why it’s such a blast, but it is.
Rolling down a Sunshine State Beach in your car is a sure-fire way to start smiling – and if you want to go surfing, it provides a very convenient way to carry your equipment, too. Here are six sweet Sunshine State locations where you can drive on the beach.
For info on exactly where and for how many miles you can drive on the beach in each location- and for the hours, which vary according to season - contact their visitor’s services. Just type your destination into the VISIT FLORIDA search engine, and after it comes up, hit the link on the right hand side of the page that says ‘visitor’s services.’ I hope you enjoy getting some sand between your tires!
Want to see how much fun it can be? Check out this video I shot of driving on New Smyrna Beach in ‘Fun-cars’ with my hubby Paul and the VISIT FLORIDA film crew from Spark Studio.
