Hang gliding is my passion, and in 2006, I helped the U.S. Women's Hang Gliding Team win silver in the World Championships. An author, ultimate adventure lover, beach bunny and sand snob, I've visited almost every beach in Florida and can't wait to explore more. Join me as I flip-flop across the Sunshine State, sharing the softest sand, sweetest shores and a boatload of adventure.

You could spend some time in the water, and some at the concert. I'm just saying. Credit: Lauren Tjaden, VISIT FLORIDA Adventure and Beach Insider
In a need of a beach getaway? I’ve got some news that should be music to your ears.
Daytona Beach promises to be rockin’ like a horse when the American Music Festival dances into town Sept. 1-5, 2010, featuring performances from some of the most gigantic names in music (like Usher and the Jonas Brothers) on the stages of Daytona Beach Bandshell, Ocean Center and Peabody Auditorium.
If your wallet’s been singing the blues lately, you can still join in the fun. The Festival Walk Concert Showcase will be featuring talented emerging artists -- in every genre of American music – and you can discover them for free during the American Music Festival 2010.
Grab your flip-flops and prepare for some toe-tapping good times!
