Hang gliding is my passion, and in 2006, I helped the U.S. Women's Hang Gliding Team win silver in the World Championships. An author, ultimate adventure lover, beach bunny and sand snob, I've visited almost every beach in Florida and can't wait to explore more. Join me as I flip-flop across the Sunshine State, sharing the softest sand, sweetest shores and a boatload of adventure.

Do the Sisters of the Sea know how to host a surfing contest? Pleez. Does a fish know how to swim?
A bevy of buff beach babes will be battling it out on the sweet waves of Jax Beach Pier on Sept. 11, 2010, when the 12th Annual Sisters of the Sea Surf Classic swims into town. The Sisters of the Sea is a non-profit organization for women surfers in Jacksonville.
Remember your dancing shoes, because the Sisters of the Sea will be hosting their Surfrider End of Summer Party after the contest at Paco's Mexican Grill. The beach bash will feature live music from B-Liminal and Groovie Dog.
You can even feel good about going! The Sisters of the Sea are Bosom Buddies in the truest sense of the word, donating the proceeds from their annual Surf Classic to a local breast cancer organization.
