Hang gliding is my passion, and in 2006, I helped the U.S. Women's Hang Gliding Team win silver in the World Championships. An author, ultimate adventure lover, beach bunny and sand snob, I've visited almost every beach in Florida and can't wait to explore more. Join me as I flip-flop across the Sunshine State, sharing the softest sand, sweetest shores and a boatload of adventure.

One could say Camp Holly in Melbourne has “lots of flavor.” If one was being polite.
If one was being honest, one would say it’s a backwoods establishment with décor that could generously be described as questionable. The place boasts low ceilings, gator-foot mugs, signs that warn about children being snatched up by reptiles – and the best airboat ride I have ever experienced.
Truly, if you’re in the area, you’ve got to go. This is old-Florida, real Florida, and everything from the wonderful guides to the funky restaurant to the soaring beauty of the wilderness are perfectly unique, and in the end, perfect.
Check out my sick flick of the action on the water to see what I’m talking about.
