Into the Frozen Tundra: Washington DC Travel and Adventure Show

I am ill-equipped for the journey I am about to make.
My closet floor is packed with sandals. Two or three pairs of dusty, closed-toed shoes are lurking in the corners for the rare occasions that call for something dressier or warmer. Likewise, my shirts are either frothy little wisps or T-shirts. However, I am proud to announce that I do own three pairs of jeans – my big-girl-pants, as Paul calls them – and even a couple pairs of long pants in addition to my plethora of shorts.
Nevertheless, sacrifices must be made, so I will bravely climb on the airplane this week and shiver my way into Washington, D.C. for the Travel and Adventure Show March 6-7, 2010.
In all seriousness, the expo should be a blast. Seminars, booths galore, hands-on adventures and a chance to proudly represent VISIT FLORIDA and my home state are all on the menu. But I really do need to go shopping for a few warm things….
