Valentine’s Day on Lovers Key

Call me a sap. I loved it.  
This Valentine’s Day, in honor of our 25th wedding anniversary, my husband and I renewed our vows on the beach at Lovers Key State Park in a small group ceremony. The ocean played its peaceful melody as the sun plunged towards the horizon, swathed in orange and purple and red. We ate cake, drank champagne and gazed into each other’s eyes like fools. We walked on the beach. It was simple and it was perfect.
