Hang gliding is my passion, and in 2006, I helped the U.S. Women's Hang Gliding Team win silver in the World Championships. An author, ultimate adventure lover, beach bunny and sand snob, I've visited almost every beach in Florida and can't wait to explore more. Join me as I flip-flop across the Sunshine State, sharing the softest sand, sweetest shores and a boatload of adventure.

Want to know what “meat-missiles” think about their sport – or why they do it at all?
I drove to Skydive City in Zephyrhills a couple of days ago for some repairs to my hang gliding harness. While there, I met some new sky-diving friends (or human-meat-missiles, as my hang gliding buddies call them).
I asked them what they liked about taking half-of-a-plane-ride. Check out the video I shot to hear what they said and to get a feel for the fun vibe at Skydive City.
I filmed this video with my Kodak Zx1 Pocket Video Camera.
