I wasn’t too surprised that Daytona’s WinterJam Festival is going to feature surfing and skating. However, I was a bit taken aback when I found out there are going to be Bugs on the beach, too.

Don’t worry! It’s not creepy-crawler-critters I’m talking about, but Volkswagen Bugs. Auto enthusiasts will get revved up over the VW Bus Show, an enormous Vintage VW Show and the Premier Indoor H2O Show and Expo. In addition, there's a Motorsports event that features an Autocross, Burnout Contest and Dyno Competition.

Besides the Volkswagens, the festival promises to deliver big time in action sports and music. Fourteen events will be rockin’ seven unique venues in the greater Daytona Beach area Feb. 18-21, 2010, including a pro/am longboard surf contest and a skate contest in the Ocean Center, performance events, rallies, themed parties, live music and more than I can possibly list here.

It sounds like a great way to get some sand between your toes to me...
