I live in Pembroke Pines, Florida and am planning a road trip up the A1A byway memorial day weekend. We plan on going all the way up to St. Augustine. I would like to know where the best starting point is bypassing Boynton Beach and West Palm Beach? Also, I have two children that are coming along. What are the best stops for them?

Destinations near Port Charlotte

Hi we are coming to Englewood in July, we have been quite a few times & love the area, we love the shopping in Port Charlotte & we always go to Gasparilla Island & love it there, but we are looking for some ideas of places to go, within about an hour & a half drive, would be grateful for an ideas, there will be 5 of us, myself, husband 22 & 18 year old and my mum.
