Hogs on Main Street
October 02, 2008
I’ve got to see if I can find my black-leather-halter-top. I think I have some black leather chaps, too, that I got for riding horses. If I pair them up with some orange shorts, I’ll look perfect.

Hey, you! Get your hands off the phone. You don’t need to call the fashion police! While this get-up might not be the most tasteful outfit to wear to church, it will do quite nicely for Biketoberfest.

Everyone should attend this cool and crazy event at least once. More than 5,000 vendors and 200,000 bikers are expected to rumble down to Daytona to join in the fun this year. Biketoberfest features motorcycle events, street festivals, charity rides, concerts, expos and other motorcycle-related activities, and of course, lots of tattoos, interesting clothing, big personalities, big bikes, and big parties. The icing on the cake is sweet --on-track racing at the famous Daytona International Speedway.

It gets even better. Three of the biggest event venues -- Daytona International Speedway, Main Street, and Bruce Rossmeyer's Destination Daytona -- are offering free Biketoberfest parking.

You just might be able to find a place to stay. Daytona Beach has more than 12,000 rooms, with something for everyone's budget. There are live hotel links right on the Biketoberfest web site.

During Biketoberfest the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort is offering special rates.
