King of the Peak Surf Contest at Cocoa Beach
October 30, 2009
Inquiring minds want to know.

Which super-surfer is going to end up crowned as the king of the peak? And who is just going to end up with a hearty slice of humble-pie and a nose full of saltwater?

I’m always searching for an excuse to grab my beach towel and splash on over to Cocoa Beach, and the King of the Peak Surf Contest provides a good one. This annual event, scheduled for Nov. 7-8, 2009, will be held in legendary Sebastian Inlet Park and promises to deliver two full days of high level, crowd-pleasing surfing.

I’ll bet my sunscreen it’ll be worth attending!

Here's a video of me taking my first surf lesson at Cocoa, where I did indeed end up with a nose full of saltwater.
