Paintball.
Just the word brings back the memories. Of paintballs raining around me while I sweated inside my layers of clothes. Of crouching behind a wooden bunker, heart thudding like I’d just sprinted a mile. Of finally mustering the bravery to poke my head out and fire a shot. Of the thrill watching my gelatin ball explode, blasting bits of bark off of the poor tree I hit.
I wasn’t much of a player, but paintball was definitely exciting. So of course I’m going to drive over to Fantasy of Flight in Polk City on October 7-11, 2009, for the 2009 World Cup Paintball Tournament – only the largest pro-paintball tournament in the world. Nearly 300 teams from every corner of the globe will be competing in head to head competition for the chance at over $75,000 cash.
You should go, too!
