There’s frost on the pumpkin!
Well, not really, since we’re talking about the Sunshine State. Here, October isn’t the start of a shivery season where you need to be thinking about where your long underwear is stashed. Here, October means blue skies and weather that’s just right for enjoying the outdoors. So, it’s particularly apt that in this exceedingly enjoyable month, we’re celebrating the Greenways and Trails that won Florida the title of “America’s Best Trails State.”
Without further ado, I offer the following outdoor extravaganza for your consideration and enjoyment:
Pedal on down to the visitor center on the Blackwater Heritage State Trail in Milton on Sat., Oct. 10, 2009, for the 4th Annual Blackwater Bicycle Festival. The family-friendly festival offers:
• Cycles to see
• Opportunities to test ride bikes
• Prizes
• A kids’ bicycle parade
• Free door prizes
• A bicycle giveaway lottery
