Key West World Championship Powerboat Racing
September 30, 2009
The Super Boat Racing site bills itself as “boat racing of the rich and famous” but I think another description is apt, too: insane.

Check out what will be happening at the Key West World Championship Powerboat races, Nov. 8-15, 2009, and you’ll see what I mean. The powerboats boast 3,000-plus horse power, and they’ll be stretching those ponies to their limits as they howl by at more than 125 mph with helicopters chasing them just off shore.

It’s definitely insane, and I definitely want to see it. Besides, I adore Key West.

Never been there? Check out this video about it.
