It’s only horrible if you miss it.
Well, that’s what they say, anyhow. Personally, while I was flooded with a sense of accomplishment after finishing the ride, the way my legs, rear end and back felt was, well, for lack of a better word, horrible.
I’m talking about the 30th Annual Horrible Hundred, hosted by The Florida Freewheelers. The event is pedaling up on us fast – Nov. 14-15, 2009 – and will feature course options of 35, 70, and 100 miles.
It starts at Clermont’s Waterfront Park (which is so awesome and where I bike all the time). If you ride road bikes, you shouldn’t miss it. I promise you you’ll never think Florida is flat again!
BTW, if you feel like celebrating after you’ve finished the ride, you might want to check out Lakeridge Winery – it’s pretty fun. |
