67 Days of Smiles
June 18, 2009
67 days is a pretty long time – and, if it’s raining or the wind is howling or you have to spend each morning scrubbing the driveway with a toothbrush, it seems like forever. Conversely, if you were with a loved one in sunny Orlando, enjoying the zillions of attractions and getting paid for your trouble to boot, that 67 days would fly by in less time than it takes for a fat cow to swat her tail.

Not that that would ever happen. Wait… it is happening.

The Orlando/Orange County Convention and Visitors Bureau has launched a worldwide search for an adventurous pair with great smiles. Their oh-so-tough jobs will be to experience every attraction in Orlando over the course of 67 consecutive days, which is how long it’s been guesstimated that it will take to enjoy the more than 100 attractions that Orlando offers. The lucky pair will share their daily adventures with a global audience via social media outlets and media interviews.

Want to sign up for “Orlando Makes Me Smile"? Pairs that are ages 21 and up can apply online at VisitOrlando.com/67DaysofSmiles by June 30, 2009.

Let’s see, if you get the gig, you’ll need lots of sunscreen, at least a few bathing suits, and some sunglasses, for sure. The smiling part should be easy.

One of the many Orlando-area attractions is horseback riding. This is my husband, Paul, and I at Horse Riding World.
