Calling all Thunderheads...Celtic Thunder -- the phenomenal Irish and Scottish male pop vocal group that is taking the performance world by storm -- is coming to Jacksonville in October for one can't-miss performance.
The Times-Union Center's Moran Theater will boom to the sights and sounds of Celtic Thunder, an exciting entourage of performance mastery. A recently released album has scored the band of five brothers legions of enthusiastic fans who call themselves Thunderheads.
I use the term brothers figuratively, these five guys are not really related, but their voices come together in a harmony so integrated it makes you think of the inpenetrable bond of a close-knit family. Damian McGinty is the group's youngest member. A mere 16, he has a voice that booms at a level well beyond his years. Keith Harkin, Ryan Kelly, Paul Byrom and George Donaldson complete the balance of the group known for its flawless delivery of songs that range from the sentimental favorite "Take Me Home" to the spirited anthem "Heartland."
So, all who have signed on as Thunderheads and all who may be moved to do so: Mark your calendar and make plans to meet at the Moran Theater on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. Ticket prices range from $35.50-$105.50. For more information, call 904-632-3373 or toll-free1-888-860-BWAY.
