If you're feeling like I'm feeling, you're ready to usher in the crisp feeling of fall, but not before one or two more weekends of summer celebration in Florida, surrounded by family, good friends, fabulous food and unforgettable memories.
I know just the place we can get all of that and more. The beautiful beach town of Seaside continues its Endless Summer Concert Series through Sept. 26, which means one thing for everyone lucky enough to make their way to this picturesque place. As long as the sea spray blows, lovely nights filled with good tunes and great times will follow.
Over the next two Saturdays, the Seaside Amphitheater will host two bands' outdoor concerts. From 4-6 p.m., on Sept. 19, Heritage takes to the stage and on Sept. 26, The Breeze Kings provide the entertainment.
I can't think of a lovelier way to close out the season of summer than a refreshing weekend trip to this classic town that is built around the unique culture of North Florida's Beach lifestyle. Seventy miles east of Pensacola and 40 miles west of Panama City, Seaside celebrates a distinctive community culture all its own. From its picturesque Gulffront cottages to the world-class shoppping and art galleries designed by Daryl Davis, co-founder of the town, Seaside welcomes its visitors with an immediate orientation to its signature Seaside Style: a refined refresher of real Florida.
A little dose of Seaside is just what we need to face fall with the sunshine and optimism that makes our state such a perfect place to live and play. See you at the amphitheater on Saturday. Bring a blanket and your highest expectations. You won't be disappointed. |
