When you hear about the fabulous food that Bourbon Steak Miami's cooking up, don't be surprised if your stomach starts growling, literally, out loud...in that embarrassing way that makes you want to disclaim your unruly gastronomy to your neighbor. It's just that good!
For the second year in a row, Bourbon Steak Miami, located in The Turnberry Isle Miami Resort & Club at 19999 West Country Club Drive in Aventura, has claimed the coveted Wine Spectator's "Best of Award of Excellence." It's easy to see why: A vision extraordinarily executed by famous chef and founder Michael Mina; a menu that boasts more than 900 delectable selections and the culinary craft and expertise of executive chef Gabriel Fenton make Bourbon Steaks Miami Miami's hottest hot spot.
Let's celebrate the much deserved honor over a four-course gourmet, wine-paired dinner event next Tuesday, August 11, at 7:30 p.m. I'll give you the full scoop on next Tuesday's menu in a minute. But, first, a little bit on the genius that is Michael Mina. Miami struck gold when this world-renowned chef decided a couple of years ago to make Miami the site of one his newest creations, Bourbon Steak Miami. With hard-earned honors such as Best San Francisco and California Chef under his belt, he has the moxie to take a great meal, turn it on its ear and make it phenomenal. Bourbon Steak’s explosion of flavors - that are always as beautifully presented as they are tasty - fits the Mina trademark perfectly. It's no surprise then that Bourbon Steak’s already raking in the accolades.
Now back to Tuesday's menu: We'll start with a crispy skin striped bass with ricotta gnocchi and chanterelle mushrooms; followed by Sonoma Liberty duck served with toasted quinoa, Belgian endive and tangerine. I know - unbelievable, right? Wait, Wait, there's more. Your palate will then be pleased by an American Kobe beef duo of ribeye and short rib with sauce bordelaise, cipollini onions and a foie gras emulsion. A sweet treat of carrot cake, accompanied by a cream cheese sorbet, raisin puree and candied walnuts tops off the memorable meal.
In addition to meals that redefine dining expectations, Bourbon Steak will continue to make its mark as a "go-to" favorite in South Florida because of its special signature touches. Little details like the herbs and spices used in the kitchen coming straight from the on-site chef's garden make a big impact on special occasions like Tuesday and every day.
