As promised, here’s the scoop on the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa, another hotel partner of International Plaza and the resort I stayed at when I was in Tampa.

Located on 22 waterfront acres overlooking Tampa Bay, the Safety Harbor resort boasts oversized guest rooms with balconies, dressing areas and marble appointed bathrooms. The beds, which feature 300 thread count sheets and duvets, are the most comfortable I’ve found at a hotel yet.
As for meals, whether you’re having breakfast, lunch or dinner, the executive chef at the resorts’ 105 North Restaurant will prepare creative and delicious dishes using healthy, fresh ingredients. The poolside Tiki Bar offers lighter fare, while room service is always available.
The Safety Harbor Resort and Spa offers every hotel amenity a guest could want, but it is first and foremost a “spa retreat,” as I discovered at check-in. Guests are welcome to walk the property and dine at 105 North in their complimentary Safety Harbor signature spa robes. The spa itself is a 50,000 square foot Aveda Concept Spa and fitness center. The resorts’ new Spa Sanctuary is a quiet haven in which to relax before or after treatments; where you can enjoy both the views and complimentary refreshments.
The Sanctuary is just the latest phase in the property’s multi-million dollar renovation plan. There’s also an outdoor Tranquility Garden offering bay views where you can enjoy a spa lunch. The spa offers over 50 spa and salon services, as well as two outdoor and one indoor pool, a sauna, steam room, whirlpools and an award-winning aquatic fitness program.
