| The next time you want to break for a unique gourmet lunch during your shopping expedition, book yourself a table at Florida International University's School of Hospitality Restaurant in North Miami, where the culinary students design the menu, cook the food, act as host and servers and design the dining room.
For just $15, you’ll be served a lunch that includes salad, warm bread, your choice of two entrees, iced tea, glass of wine, dessert and tea or coffee. A sample menu might include: deconstructed Caesar salad in a garlic tuille; choice of duck confit with dirty rice and orange gastrique or baked red snapper with beurre blanc and for dessert peach and blueberry napoleon.
It’s a fantastic way to meet the next generation of young and dynamic chefs before they go on to open their own restaurants.
