Let me begin by stating that I bleed Orange and Blue! I am a true University of Florida Gator!! I'm psyched that the BCS National Championship is being played in my own back yard! I got my tickets, and I am ready to go cheer the Gators to victory against Oklahoma this Thursday.
I am sure my fellow Gator and VISIT FLORIDA's own Sports and Adventure Expert, Lauren Tjaden, will be covering the actual matchup on her blog! As your Entertainment Expert, it's my duty to inform all Florida Gators off the fun activties prior to the big game!
National Championship Fanfest will take place Wednesday, Jan. 7th at Bicentennial Park in downtown. This will be the perfect place to show your Gator Pride while enjoying the Latin rhythms of Miami, food and surprises. Closing out the evening is the All-American Rejects with a performace that will have you dancing and singing into the night. This event starts at 3 p.m.
Gator Jamboree at the Budweiser Tailgate Party begins at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Smash Mouth will be performing and preparing fans for a thrilling Gator match. The Gator Jamboree will bring Gators from all over the world together for some fun alongside the Gator cheerleaders, mascots and band. This event will take place in the northwest bus parking lot of Dolphin Stadium. Don't miss it!
