Saludos!  My friends and I recently decided it was time for a “girl’s night out!”  It had been a while since we let loose, so we decided to taste  the new “IT” place of Miami Beach’s nightlife. We were pleasantly surprised at seductive, people-watching scene at Miami Mondrian. 

It is the NEWEST and TRENDIEST hotel on the beach.  World-renowned Dutch Designer Marcel Wanders created one of the most beautiful hotels I have come across in a long time! It goes without saying that the Mondrian Miami (being part of Morgan Group) will also have its trademark nightlife venues on site, including the delicious Asia de Cuba and chic lounge (which is like the Sky Bar at The Shore Club and the Florida Room at the Delano). This is a great place not only to stay in, but to run into celebrities enjoying the nightlife. 

Here is a little tale to give you some laughter.  When I found out Marilyn Manson and A-Rod were in the building, I wanted to get a photograph of them for you guys to take in the scene.  After all, I am a professional journalist.  Unfortunately, security did not allow me to take pictures from afar since it would interfere with the cool factor (I assume).  Not one to take NO for answer, I did not give up.

When I saw Manson get up from his table, I asked him if I could take a picture with him. A t first, he was not too interested but when I put on a little bit of my charm, he gave in to the Latin girl!!  I ed every moment of it because even though I really don't appreciate his musical genre, I totally respect his artistic abilities and way to grab mainstream America's attention!  Meeting him was great fun.  

I have to admit that I am a bit embarrased about out  my interaction with A-Rod. When I saw him get up from his table, I followed him.  After all,  I was on a mission. I didn't realize that my passion let me to followed him into the men's bathroom .   I was so focused on the photograph that I did not notice where I was. He was a complete gentleman, though, and said he would take the picture but not "in here!"  Oops...  Needless to say I walked out quitely and returned to my glass of champagne.  I did not want him to think I was a crazy stalker!
