Tradewinds Island Grand Hosts Away Game Watching Parties on St. Pete Beach

Hola!  Whoever came up with this idea is a genius and deserves a big raise ... Combining two American  past times for a wonderful afternoon!

The TradeWinds Island Grand, the Official Beach Resort of the Tampa Bay Rays, are inviting all baseball fans to head out to St. Pete Beach for a fun-filled game watching parties all season long!

The "away" games will be broadcast on a huge screen right on the the beach.  A delicious cookout, perfect for the beach, will be available for purchase. It is open to all fans and admission is complimentary. Parking will also be free at both TradeWinds properties - the Island Grand and the neighboring Sandpiper, until the lots are full!

When will these fun beach afternoons take place?  Here is the schedule:

  • Thursday, May 7 - 7:05 p.m.  vs. New York Yankees
  • Sunday, June 7 - 1:05 p.m. vs. New York Yankees
  • Sunday, July 19 - 2:10 p.m.  vs. Kansas City Royals
  • Sunday, August 30 - 1:05 p.m. vs. Detroit Tigers
  • Sunday, September 12 - 1:35 p.m. vs. Boston Red Sox 

The Radio station 620 WDAE "The Sports Animal" will broadcast live and will be doing prize giveaways!  You can't go wrong here ... beach and baseball!!
