Hola! If you consider yourself a film buff or enthusiast, then this blog is written especially for you ...
The 2009 Sarasota Film Festival is ready to roll out the red carpet at the Opening Night event at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on Friday, March 27.
When cast members, celebrities and other guests set foot onto that red carpet, it will signal the start of the 10-day festival that will showcase more than 200 films. Every imaginable genre will be screened, such as domestic and foreign films, documentaries, animated shorts, family films and narrative dramas. The schedule of films will be available online beginning March 13.
Aside from Opening Night, the festival celebrates the art of filmmaking and the passion of its filmmakers with special events such as youthFest Hollywood Nights, World Cinema Celebration, Filmmakers Tribute, Luncheon Under the Bayans, Wrap Party and Night of a Thousand Stars.
If you find yourself anywhere near Sarasota from March 27 to April 5, then you need to head to the Festival Box Office or Online Ticket Center to purchase your passes and film tickets.
Have fun screening those wonderful films! Ciao! |
